Find out why Happy Home Buyers from Texas Choose Scenic 30A as their #1 Beach Community
When we first wrote this post 2 years ago, we knew Texans were choosing 30A as one of their favorite beaches. We knew from basic observation and personal experience.
Since then, we are lucky to have Visit South Walton (www.visitsouthwalton.com) doing the all the hard research for us, putting together statistical information that targets where our visitors are arriving from.
To the left, we are including a slice of VSW’s recent infographic called, “South Walton Visitors At A Glance.”
It’s pretty self-explanatory—the USA is broken into four regions, and the graphic also includes an international category.
71% of our visitors come from the Southeast. And of the Southeast, Texans comprise 13% of the visitors, with Georgia as the only state with a larger percentage of 15%.
SO it’s confirmed—Texans (insert a huge rosy heart) 30A!
Below is our original post from two years back. You may find it interesting to hear why some of our Texas customers shared a bit about what drove them to 30A in the first place.
Enjoy. (Original script starts now …)
It’s not hard to tell where our beach lovers (& buyers) are coming from. Popular regions, such as the State of Texas, present themselves to us as we live our lives each day on Scenic 30A.
Second home owners and vacationers stop and stay on Scenic 30A as a chosen destination. Many drive here from Texas. Their cars, of course, sport Texas plates.
On Scenic 30A, it’s not uncommon for two or three cars to pass by from the Lone Star State before seeing another popular state plate, or even a local Florida plate. More and more Texans are choosing our beaches.
Why, you ask?
Why 30A?—We asked our happy Texas friends who have either purchased a second home on Scenic 30A or have relocated after buying a primary home to begin their lives along our Emerald Coast.
Two of these buyers have already purchased more than one property here, as their plans have either changed shape, or grown bigger and better. Here’s what they had to say:
“We guess the secret is out. We tried to keep it quiet for over 20 years. The pristine emerald water and white sand beaches without the crowds. Shhh! Don’t tell everyone about 30-A! GO TO THE BEACH knows 30-A, it’s their home…and now it’s ours!”
– T. S., Tyler, TX
“Living on 30A allows us to enjoy all of the outdoor activities that we love so much. Hiking, bicycling, paddle boarding, and water sports can all be done easily here. We enjoy all of the local activities throughout the year such as live music, festivals and farmer’s markets. We love GO TO THE BEACH. They have made our real estate transactions easy and always go above and beyond to help us achieve our dream.”
– K.G., Austin, TX
“We have been vacationing for over a decade and recently bought a second home in the 30A area. We love the area for a lot of reasons – beautiful beaches with sugar white sand and crystal clear emerald green water, the coastal dune lakes and lush forests, the walk and bike friendly culture of the area, wonderful communities each with their own brand of 30A charm, great restaurants and shops and small town feel. Of course, it would be nice if 30A was closer to Texas, but all that 30A offers always makes the trip worthwhile. We are thankful for GO TO THE BEACH’s knowledge, experience and helpfulness throughout the process, allowing us to realize our dream of buying a 30A second home.”
– J.G., Houston, TX
